About Us
Sara Saad is EMpower’s Global Communications Associate, where she brings creativity, clarity, and deep intention to how the organisation shows up online. She leads EMpower’s global social media strategy—using platform trends, audience insights, and analytics to build engagement and amplify youth leadership across Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. From international campaigns like International Youth Day and 16 Days of Activism to day-to-day content planning and coordination, Sara works closely with regional teams and consultants to ensure EMpower’s voice is authentic, compelling, and cohesive.
She also leads major digital initiatives including EMpower’s upcoming website overhaul and oversees the organisation’s visual identity across platforms. With a sharp eye for design and strong photography skills, Sara manages EMpower’s brand expression, editorial calendar, and growing visual asset library, helping strengthen storytelling across geographies.
Sara’s role is deeply collaborative. She works across teams in India, the UK, US, and Hong Kong to support communications needs, bringing thoughtfulness to every interaction. Whether she’s refining a graphic, managing a campaign, or coordinating with vendors, she brings a quiet strength and sharp creative sensibility to her work.
Before joining EMpower, Sara worked with RGMVP on communications and community engagement. She holds a Master’s in Development Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia, and studied at Isabella Thoburn College in Lucknow.
Outside of work, Sara is an avid reader with a soft spot for independent bookstores. She suffers from a joyful case of tsundoku—the habit of collecting books faster than she can read them!
