Lauren Glenmere is the Global Grants Manager at EMpower. In her role, Lauren leads the organisation’s grant making portfolio. She works to ensure we follow the principles of trust-based philanthropy across our six operating regions, support our partners' success and improve our strategic and operational impact.

Lauren has over 10 years’ experience in international philanthropy and INGOs, working across Africa, Latin America, and Europe.

Lauren holds multiple Master’s Degrees: in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews, International Human Rights Law from the University of London, and Public Policy and Gender from the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales. Originally from the United Kingdom, Lauren has lived in France, Belgium, Sweden, and Spain and is now based in Mexico.

Outside of work, Lauren loves to travel and read, and spends much time in a remote corner of Oaxaca.
