About Us
Priyasha Banerjee is EMpower's Programme Associate based in Delhi, India. In her role, Priyasha supports the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all programmatic activities in India, working with EMpower's team and grantee partners. She also collaborates with EMpower’s Girls Advisory Council (GAC), enabling in amplifying their voices and ensure their active participation in shaping the organisation’s initiatives.
Before joining EMpower, Priyasha was a part of the founding team at Partnerships for Impact (P4i) and contributed to programmes across gender, health, climate change, road safety, and nutrition. She also worked as a Capacity Building Officer at Humsafar Trust, India’s largest LGBTQ+ community-based organisation, where she led advocacy efforts for transgender rights and contributed to policy proposals for the National Medical Commission. Additionally, she interned and briefly worked at NITI Aayog, where she supported the development and finalisation of India’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators.
Hailing from Delhi, Priyasha completed her undergraduate studies in English Literature before pursuing a Master's in Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Beyond her professional pursuits, Priyasha finds solace in literature and Netflix, accompanied by a comforting cup of coffee.
