For the third chapter of its webinar series, EMpower and Citi e for education hosted a webinar on 'Keeping Learning Alive': What can Young People, Organizations, and Funders do? Speakers from EMpower and grantee partner Feminist Approach to Technology (FAT) shared examples of how non-profits and funders within the inclusive learning space can collectively strengthen their work with young people by improving access to non-traditional livelihoods careers; changing perceptions; and building an ecosystem of support.




EMpower spotlights impact of COVID-19 on adolescent girls in India

On May 5, EMpower organized and hosted a webinar, ‘Her Point Of View: COVID-19 as experienced by Adolescent Girls’, spotlighting the impact of COVID-19 on adolescent girls in India. The panel was comprised Meenu Vadera from Azad Foundation, Nandita Shah from Akshara Centre, Rubi from Feminist Approach to Technology, and Seema Dosad from Vacha Charitable Trust.

Grants totaling $504,500 approved at EMpower’s Spring Grants Meeting in London!

The UK Spring grants cycle took place on March 25th and was the third of five grants meetings this fiscal year. A total of $504,500 in 9 grants were approved by the Board of Directors.
