British Royal Family meets Azad Foundation Driver!
Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton met Sunita, a female driver trained by EMpower grantee partner Azad Foundation, while on their Royal Visit to India!
EMpower’s current support to Azad allows young women aged 18-24 like Sunita to be trained as professional drivers in New Delhi. Of these women, some will be placed as chauffeurs and commercial drivers. This allows women to increase their average monthly income and become principal bread-earners in their families.
