On 8th September 2025, EMpower and Ozan Korman Tarman hosted a special Turkey-themed salon dinner in London. Despite Monday evening tube strikes, friends, supporters, and peers came together in a spirit of true commitment and solidarity.
The evening featured honest reflection, stories from the ground, and candid conversations about both the challenges and possibilities in Turkey. Filiz Bikmen shared powerful insights on the resilience of young people and the role philanthropy can play in sparking long-term, systemic change. Alongside Jeremy Llewelyn, Adam Heuman, and Zaryna Lee, the room brimmed with energy, curiosity, and optimism.
While it was a closed-door discussion, one sentiment was clear: there is appetite, ideas, and momentum to do more for young people in Turkey.
