Daniel Parnetti, Regional Programme Director, Latin America, co-authored a chapter with Carmen Barroso, a feminist leader and expert in global reproductive health, in If We Want to Win: A Latine Vision for a New American Democracy. They explored the history of foundations' support of women's movements in Latin America and why their investment continues to be so strategically important. 

EMpower President and CEO Cynthia Steele authored a blog for the Center for Effective Philanthropy, where she painted a compelling picture of why funders should invest in youth-led programmes to drive transformational change.

"If we want to work on changing social norms, then we have to take a stand to be disruptive within our own organisations. Feminist writer and American civil rights activist Audre Lorde says that the master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house. So, if our organisations are not inclusive, not sharing power, and not questioning who is holding power, then how can we expect change within the communities we work?"

EMpower was featured in a series in Forbes focused on the impacts of COVID-19 on women and girls and grantmaking in the philanthropic sector. The series, written by Bonnie Chiu, a gender equality advocate and entrepreneur, highlights the far-reaching effects that COVID-19 has had.
